emergency express

When you or a loved one is in need of immediate medical attention, trust your emergency care to Saint Agnes Emergency Department. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our team of specially-trained physicians, nurses and dedicated support staff are prepared to handle a wide range of medical conditions.

Introducing Emergency Express

To help expedite registration, we are now offering a self-registration option for patients needing to visit our emergency department. With similar functionality as eCheck-in, Emergency Express allows patients to complete their emergency registration on their own time, while waiting to be seen.

Patients will receive a link via email or text notification (or both) to complete self-registration. The registration team is able to track the patient’s registration progress and notify medical staff when the patient has it completed and is ready to be seen.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are exhibiting any combination of these symptoms, it is recommended that you or a loved one call 9-1-1 immediately:

  • Chest pressure or chest pain
  • Shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing, racing or skipping heartbeats, fainting
  • Unusually severe headache, numbness, weakness or loss of vision (particularly on one side of the body), dizziness, confusion, ringing in the ears, pupils of uneven size, loss of bowel or bladder control
  • Bleeding that cannot be stopped (longer than five minutes)
  • Falls (especially dangerous to the elderly)
  • Poisoning, snake or spider bites
  • Burns (second- or third-degree)
  • Severe vomiting
  • Unconsciousness

Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality, most compassionate care and service in an efficient and timely manner, from the moment you arrive in our ED. We understand how frustrating it can be to wait, especially when you're in pain or not feeling well. We appreciate your understanding that we stabilize and treat the most severely ill and injured patients first.

If it is determined by one of our ED physicians that you need to be admitted to the hospital, we will make every effort to get you settled into your room as soon as possible. If the specific type of room you need is not available, we will make you as comfortable as possible in the ED until your assigned room becomes available.

To contact the Emergency Department, call (559) 450-3205.

As part of our vision to elevate the level of care and service we provide to expectant moms, Saint Agnes is proud to provide the area’s only Obstetrical Emergency Department (OBED) that is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year, with Board Certified OB/GYN hospitalists. If you are more than 20 weeks pregnant and have an urgent or emergent pregnancy-related need, take comfort in knowing that you will be seen by one of our OB/GYN hospitalists or your personal OB/GYN – regardless of time, complications or circumstances.

Our OBED is located on the 4th floor of the Main Wing. For easiest access, please enter through the Patient Registration/Hospital Entrance, east side of the campus, behind the Emergency Department. Valet parking is available, or you're welcome to self-park. Once inside, make an immediate left and continue down the hall until you see the OBED directional sign.

Every patient is important to us, but please understand that there are some conditions that are life- or limb-threatening and considered immediate medical emergencies and must be treated first. You will be treated as soon as possible, according to the severity of your condition.
