Saint Agnes Breast Center continues Breast Imaging Center of Excellence designation

Saint Agnes Medical Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by American College of Radiology (ACR).

The three-year designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that achieve excellence in all servies including mammography, beast MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy). Sain Agnes has held the ACR Breast Imaging Excellence title since 2011. The accreditation is renewed every three years.

To achieve the excellence designation, board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field conduct peer reviews to determine if faciliities achieve high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs.
