AVEIR™ DR Dual Chamber Leadless Pacemaker

Revolutionary heart care close to home
In December 2024, Saint Agnes performed its first procedure to place an AVEIR™ DR Dual Chamber Leadless Pacemaker. This newly FDA-approved innovative device is the world’s first dual-chamber, leadless pacemaker, designed to provide precise heart rhythm management without the need for traditional leads or a surgical pocket.
The first, it has no wires, so the entire device is able to fit within the heart, under the skin. The second, is that the system utilizes two devices – one placed in the upper heart chamber and one placed in the lower chamber – that are able to synchronize both sides of the heart for effective and accurate rhythm management.
Benefits of the AVEIR® dual chamber leadless pacemaker
- Minimally invasive: The AVEIR™ pacemaker is implanted directly into the heart through a catheter, eliminating the need for leads or an incision under the skin.
- Precise and reliable: Provides advanced pacing for both chambers of the heart, ensuring optimal heart function and rhythm.
- Faster recovery: With no visible device or leads, recovery time is significantly reduced, allowing you to return to your daily activities more quickly.
- Long-term durability: Designed for longevity, the AVEIR™ pacemaker offers reliable heart rhythm management for years to come.
