Our volunteers help us realize the mission, vision and values of Saint Agnes, every day. Volunteers make an impact by providing invaluable services to our patients, families, visitors and colleagues. Learn more about the variety of volunteer opportunities available and see if any match your interests.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities


Volunteer opportunities and hours of need are listed below. Volunteers will typically be scheduled for three-hour shifts, as needed. Our Manager of Volunteer Services will confirm and discuss all hours needed for any position prior to starting service.

  • Every Thursday | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Every other Friday: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
     

We are blessed to provide the healing presence of Heavenly Hounds in our hospital for patients, families, visitors and our colleagues. With the popularity of our Heavenly Hounds program, we are always in need of more dog volunteers—and their owners! If you have a compassionate canine and are interested in spreading smiles throughout the hospital, consider becoming a Heavenly Hounds Volunteer.

There are specific qualifications for becoming a Heavenly Hound volunteer team (owner and dog). Teams must have the Canine Good Citizen certification and certification from one of the following accredited organizations:

Dog handler must provide proof of the following:

  • Flu vaccination
  • TB test clearance
  • Background check

Junior Volunteer Opportunities


We are currently not accepting Junior Volunteer applications. This website is updated regularly and we will post opportunities as they become available. Please see Junior Volunteer eligibility information below.

All Junior Volunteers must meet the following requirements below prior to beginning any volunteer service with our hospital. Saint Agnes can provide up to 60 hours if Junior Volunteer needs to accumulate hours for school requirements. All Junior Volunteers must:

  • Be 16-18 years of age
    • If 18, must still be attending high school
  • Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0
  • Have parental consent to volunteer
  • Provide at least one (1) letter of recommendation
  • Pass a TB test
  • Attend annual training
