Ms Sousa knows my file and spoke from knowledge; she was patient, advised me with practical moves I can make to decrease my stress and feel more in charge. She prescribed a new dosage for BP management and inspired confidence. She requested a quick followup

It was the first time I’ve met her, as my doctor was not in the office that day. She treated me with care and knowledge as if I was her patient. She gave a thorough examination and explanation, and offered appropriate treatment options.

The new computer system - My Chart - is not working. I can see my information and send a message to my practitioner Rebecca Souza from my home computer but she was unable to see my information or get my message. I called the office to leave message, plus put in my request to see her again thru My Chart. I had to go in person to office and ask receptionist to please let me go speak with Rebecca about my urgent health issues. I asked for a referral to a gastro specialist about the pain I am experiencing. Rebecca sent a request that day to schedule an ultrasound for me before referring me to a specialist. I waited one week with no word from the Ultra Sound scheduler. I finally called my doctor's office to get the phone number to call the scheduler myself and was given an appointment. The scheduler had my referral right in front of her but had not called me. Too much time has gone by before I can be seen or treated by anyone who will follow up with my health needs. I have to work hard and long to be my own advocate. Fingers crossed I finally get to see a specialist regarding my ongoing stomach and chest pain. Who knows how long it will take before I get some answers or a diagnosis.

The appointment was at 9:00 and another patient whose appointment was at 9:30 was seen before us even though we were on time for our appointment. We waited an hour before being called and then almost as long to actually be seen by the provider.

She mentioned she would put in my chart an explanation of what is going on with my heart, but the MyChart site is overwhelming and I don’t know where to look for that information. Maybe if someone could walk a patient through the MyChart site to know where that info will be?
