Day-of Surgery
For added safety, all patients, visitors and staff are screened upon entry to the hospital. After you arrive and once you are screened, you will complete your check-in and be escorted to the pre-op area to get prepped for surgery.
Same-day Surgery and Staying Overnight
On the day of the surgery, immediate family can visit prior to surgery and after surgery in the patent’s room regardless of time. Immediate family may obtain special visiting privileges for specific situations from the Nurse Manager or designee. During surgery, family members are welcome to wait in public areas including the Surgical Waiting Room (2-Main), One Main Café (1-Main) and Patient Registration (1-North).
Same-day Surgery
Once your procedure is completed and you’re ready to go home, we will contact whomever you have designated and ask them to drive up to the West Wing or Patient Registration to pick you up. A member of our team will escort you to the car. Discharge instructions will be provided to you over the phone after discharge.
Staying Overnight
Once your procedure is completed and we have you settled in your room, you will be allowed visitors per the current hospital visitor policy.
