Sports Medicine Fellowship

Welcome to Saint Agnes Medical Center's Sports Medicine Fellowship Program!

We are a community-based Sports Medicine Fellowship located in Fresno, California. With a population of 544,510, Fresno and its surrounding areas are home to many rural and underserved communities with a diverse population. Our program aims to produce Sports Medicine physicians who will advocate for the patients they will be caring for within the communities they serve. Graduates will be competent in providing comprehensive sports medicine care. Our inaugural class of one fellow started July 2023 and we just started our second fellow in July 2024. Our 1-year fellowship program contains rotations in sports medicine, orthopedics, pain management, radiology, trauma and electives.

The Sports Medicine Fellowship at Saint Agnes Medical Center is located in the heart of Fresno. As the 5th largest city in California and known as the agricultural capital of the world, Fresno's cost of living is relatively inexpensive, affordable and home to award-winning school districts. Fresno's diverse population offers a large variety of food and culture. From the unique Tower District with its eclectic storefronts and coffee shops, to the local wineries and breweries and numerous farmers markets and community activities, Fresno offers a little of something for everyone.

Our growing city is within 50 miles of three national parks—Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Yosemite—and is only a few hours from major cities making weekend trips to San Francisco, Los Angeles, the Central Coast and Napa easy to plan. We are truly located in an ideal location, close in proximity to whatever adventure awaits you!
