Frequently Asked Questions
To make your visit as convenient as possible, there are two options available for parking:
- Patient Drop-Off and Pick-Up. Patients can be dropped off and picked up on Circle Drive in front of our hospital. Designated Infusion Center parking stalls are marked in our parking lot. See where to drop-off, pick-up and park, here.
- Complimentary Valet Parking. Located outside of our Hospital Outpatient Entrance and Registration, valet parking is only available weekdays. View our Valet Service map, here.
To schedule an outpatient infusion appointment, ask your doctor to submit a referral to Saint Agnes Outpatient Infusion clinic. Once the referral is received and processed, our staff will contact you directly to schedule an appointment.
Wear comfortable clothing with layers so you can adjust to room temperature as needed. We recommend wearing a short-sleeve shirt or if your shirt has sleeves, one that allows you to easily roll up your sleeve so our care team can access your arm for infusion.
Depending on the type of medication you're receiving, infusion appointments can take anywhere from 30 minutes up to multiple hours. Some medications may require pre-treatment. Our medical staff will explain the procedure and answer any of your questions.
Absolutely. There's an additional chair available for a guest to sit with you while you're undergoing treatment. Additional guests can wait in our spacuious waiting area at the front of our clinic. Unfortunately, children are not allowed in the infusion area but can stay in the waiting area with a parent or guardian.
For your first appointment, bring a current list of all medications you are taking as well as any drug allergies you may have. For all other appointments, please let our staff know if there are any changes to your medications or allergies.
Staying hydrated is important. Be sure to drink plenty of water prior to your appointment and avoid excessive amounts of coffee and alcohol. Avoid any foods or activities that can cause you to become dehydrated (e.g., heavy exercise, foods high in salt, donating blood). Certain iron infusions require breakfast to be eaten.
All patients must arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment time. If you are going to be late or cannot make your appointment, please call (559) 450-3522 to speak with our Clinical Coordinator. Infusion appointments and availability vary every day. If you are going to be late and our infusion schedules allow, we can start your infusion a little later - otherwise, we will need to reschedule your appointment.
